Session One Hundred and Ten Summary (Graveyard of Empires: After the Fall)

Session 110, October 12 2022

Introduction

We continue at 11:10PM on the 19th of Denrilden (00.000.09.12 on the Apocalypse Clock) with the party on Armada's central flagship after delivering the body of Bavmorda, who earlier in the evening assassinated the Seer of Lysander (carrying out, knowingly or not, the plans concocted by a conspiracy of pirate admirals). Having secured their immediate safety, the group must now figure out how to install their choice as the new envoy to/from Lysander and neutralize the suspected undead menace in the Dead Forest. Finally, if those issues are sorted out, the party must decide both whether to sign a contact with Beezlebub's ambassador to Armada and how to complete their journey to Gharmarost and the Inquisitorial Library. Can they thread this succession of needles? So far, so good ...

Larry's Summary

We find and convince Grissel to be the new Seer.

Grissel's grandfather gives us a chest of loot for helping Grissel make it home.

We convince Elkior to support Grissel.

Velkin while invisible embarrasses Domelch in trying to get Alice Sharp's body lowered and the cage swings and her body flops down on the deck.

The Admiral's Council meets and a 5 to 6 vote elects Grissel. Domelch disagrees, but backs down to tradition of council voting on big decisions. He argued that the decision should be Lysander's.

Elkior escorts Grissel to the cage with Alice Sharp's body, gives him a piece of coral, and has him enter the cage which is lowered into the sea.

Drayz - Kill the undead, a Devilfish Ancestor Idol in Admiral Haversham’s was in league with the Seer. If Dolmelch becomes Seer, that probably won’t be a good idea.

We find Grissel, who can’t speak, and he agrees to be the Seer. Krung-Ma is good with that.

We incriminate and embarrass Dolmelch to get Grizzel approved. I do some fiddling around in the crowd and with the Seer’s body to facilitate that.

The Admiral council votes and installs Grissel as Seer, Dolmelch is hurt and dejected however is a staunch traditionalist and devout follower of Lysander. He accepts the decision.

Grissel and the Seer’s body are lowered to visit Lysander and see what happens.
