Session Six, Plague of Angels

We spend the majority of our time discussing character advancement and the assigning of Ship Departments to our characters and choosing Foci and skills to make them better at their department.

So after we found the functional ship currently designated Goro, we spend time familiarizing ourselves with what is needed of us to fly the ship. 'Goro' is some kind of artificial intelligence, we haven't questioned him enough to quantify that I don't think. He did relay that he is not linked permanently to the ship should we decide to leave this ship, or it's destroyed, we can take him with us.

Stefano and Boris go back to the reactor room and discern the cause of the radiation leak. Stefano grabs a pack of useful items from the room and then leaves. ditching one of the suits from extreme radioactivity of it.

Boston and Jack disassemble, or try to, Jack wasn't that big of a help, the two missile launchers in the hanger bays. We salvage the 16 missiles and one semi-functional launcher (no range of motion) and one for spare parts.

We take stock of our present situation and with the Ship's locker, we have 20 units of most everything in the equipment list (subject to John's approval).

Our current situation is:

We have a SHIP!!!! A TL5 ship.... a damn sight better than anything else flying around... One that talks to you and has a Bedelman perspective. Plus it's telepathic and who knows what else! It's knowledge of humans is limited to pre collapse and boy do they have weird tastes. We gave him a general color palette to choose from (black, silver, blue and red) so we'll see what it looks like when he gets done fiddling. We may have further tweaking and education to do....

We pack up anything not nailed down, and everything we can salvage for spare parts from the bunker. Fly out from Nacheme undetected and in about 3 hours will approach Luck Station orbiting Bibiloa Lasu. A moon over Nacheme full of scientists and researchers in hopes of tapping the black market for a load of fuel, restock the supply stores and whatever else we can beg, borrow or trade for.

The current plan is to become respectable practical archeologists with our ship... by practical I mean open up old and undiscovered ruins and loot them. Or at least that's the current thought since we've survived liftoff.

Current ship department heads are:

  • Captain Stefano DeMarco (he wasn't qualified for anything else....)
  • Bridge/Pilot: (Probably Dominik?)
  • Engineering: Boston
  • Comms/Sensors: Gerry
  • Gunnery: Boris
